the claymore is the famous greatsword wielded by the clansmen from the scotish highlands in the late medieval age. it was a fierse weapon in the hands of a capebale warrior. the english learnt to fear it in their constant war with the clans

the medieval claymoreEdit

the first claymore's date from around 1400. it was a huge sword with a total length around 140 cm (55 in), the grip made up 33 cm, so the blade was around 107 cm. the weigth was about 2,5 kg
